Robert Half SOC Specialist in Moncks Corner, South Carolina

Description We are looking to bring on board a NOC Technician for our team located in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. This role is within the Internet Service Provider industry and offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. The successful candidate will be tasked with ensuring our digital assets' security by monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents in real time.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor security alerts and events from various sources, including Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), and other security tools.

• Analyze security incidents to determine the root cause, impact, and appropriate response actions.

• Investigate and respond to security events, including malware infections, phishing attempts, and unauthorized access incidents.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and remediation measures.

• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify weaknesses in our systems and applications.

• Develop and maintain documentation related to security procedures, incident response plans, and system configurations.

• Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.

• Participate in security awareness training and contribute to the overall security posture of the organization.

• Provide top-notch customer support and handle hardware and network troubleshooting in a telecommunications environment. Requirements • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the Internet Service Provider industry

• Relevant experience as a NOC Technician or in a similar role

• Proficiency in Customer Support and able to communicate effectively with clients

• Strong knowledge of Telecommunications and ability to troubleshoot related issues

• Capability to troubleshoot Hardware, identifying and resolving issues efficiently

• Proficiency in Network Troubleshooting, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted network functionality

• Must demonstrate professional conduct and respect for diversity in the workplace

• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with colleagues

• Must be able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Willingness to continue learning and improving relevant skills

• Must have problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
