Description
Robert Half is assisting in the search for a skilled Accountant to join a dynamic team in the Modesto market. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and knowledgeable in accounting practices, with experience in QuickBooks, Excel, and Microsoft Office. This is an exciting opportunity for finance professionals passionate about ensuring accurate financial records and contributing to the success of a reputable organization.
Responsibilities:
General Ledger Management: Accurately maintain and manage general ledger accounts, ensuring all balances are up-to-date and reconciled
Journal Entries: Prepare and record general journal entries in a timely and accurate manner.
Accounts Payable: Process vendor payments, invoices, and other payable obligations, adhering to company policies and deadlines.
Accounts Receivable: Manage incoming payments, create and track invoices, and ensure timely deposits
Tax Compliance: Handle W-9 and 1099 documentation and reporting to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory norms.
Daily Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and expenses daily, minimizing errors
Credit Card Reconciliation: Reconcile company credit card statements, ensuring all transactions are accounted for.
Credit Card Tracking: Monitor and manage law firm-related credit card usage, tracking expenses and usage policies.
Client Cost Management: Perform data entry for client-related costs into the accounting system with precision.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
Technical Skills: Proficient in QuickBooks, Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Organizational Skills: Must be extremely organized, detail-oriented, and focused.
Adaptability: Ability to navigate shifting priorities with agility and professionalism.
