Library Systems & Services Project Control Manager in Mobile, Alabama

LAC Federal is currently seeking a highly experienced Project Control Manager to lead our project control team. In this role, the Manager will apply top-level project controls knowledge within the applied project management (PM) system to schedule project development, integration, and implementation. The Manager will be responsible for providing high-level analysis within the PM system, managing a team of project control specialists, and defining strategies for deployment, maintenance, and progress reporting. Additionally, the Manager will oversee the development of work breakdown structures (WBS), schedule cost and resource loading, conduct project progression analysis, implement earned value management techniques, and ensure data synchronization between Primavera Project Manager and applicable financial databases. The Specialist will also provide Primavera knowledge transfer to designated government personnel and identify and coordinate resolution of PM system problems with the designated government reporting entity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply top-level project controls knowledge within the applied PM system to schedule project development, integration, and implementation.

  • Provide high-level analysis within the PM system to support decision-making and project management.

  • Manage a team of project control specialists, including defining methods and strategies for deployment, maintenance, and progress reporting.

  • Develop work breakdown structures (WBS) to effectively organize project tasks and deliverables.

  • Schedule cost and resource loading to ensure efficient allocation of resources.

  • Conduct project progression analysis, including identification of delays and development of recovery strategies.

  • Implement earned value management techniques to track project performance and cost efficiency.

  • Verify data synchronization between Primavera Project Manager and applicable financial databases.

  • Provide Primavera knowledge transfer to designated government personnel as needed.

  • Identify PM system problems and coordinate resolution with the designated government reporting entity.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent.

  • 7 years of experience in project controls or related field.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in project management, business administration, or related field.

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.

  • Extensive experience with Primavera Project Manager or similar project management software.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.

  • Experience working in a government contracting environment is a plus.
