As a Supply Planner you will be part of a dedicated team based in Mississauga-Flexible and reporting to the Supply Planning Manager . The Supply Planner is responsible for the timely and accurate ordering of products to fulfill customer demand in our Mississauga Distribution Centre. The successful candidate will have demonstrated inventory management and product flow experience and will work closely with their cross-functional partners on the demand, operations, sales and finance teams.

What you will get to do

  • Work closely with The Demand Planning Team to understand and order product to support business objectives

  • Responsible for the effective and efficient management of inventory levels in the Canadian DC within set KPIs (Weeks of Supply on hand, inventory turns, excess & obsolete depletion, Unit Fill Rate, etc)

  • Actively review, manage and update ETA of inbound purchase orders using ERP/JDA and Excel based reporting. Updating arrival dates where necessary

  • Actively review, communicate and escalate known risks to supply and service levels

  • Understand, speak-to and root-cause analysis of out-of-stock scenarios and provide get-well dates to senior management

  • Work with all areas of the Business to ensure Service Levels meet customer requirements

  • Manage & Develop SKU inventory planning strategies using the JDA Supply Planning System

  • Assist the Marketing group with Excess inventory disposition

  • Work closely with US & international manufacturing facilities to understand capacity, lead times & logistical issues. Make recommendations to resolve

  • Tracking & expediting production to ensure orders are filled on time and that Service Levels to Canada are at target

  • Other duties as required

Who You are

  • 3-5 years of demonstrated Inventory Planning/Supply Chain experience

  • Post-Secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Distribution or Inventory Management is preferred

  • Experience working for a large retailer/CPG is preferred

  • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a complex, fast paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Intermediate/advanced experience using Microsoft Excel

  • Computer proficiency a must (MS Office products)

  • Knowledge of SAP and JDA Supply Planning System an asset
