Acosta Group Financial Analyst Sr in Mississauga, Ontario

DESCRIPTION

The Client Finance team is responsible for supporting the business in reaching their financial targets through thorough planning, forecasting, pricing support and continual finance support on clients and their programs. The Client Finance team works across several Acosta subsidiaries including Mosaic, Premium, Actionlink, and Product Connections across Canada and the US.

ROLE SUMMARY:

This is a newly created position designed to provide more robust financial support across our Canadian and US client teams. As a Sr. Financial Analyst, you will report to the Finance Director and will be crucial to supporting the growth of the company. You will work closely with members of the client account teams (from manager to VP), Premium accounting team as well as finance teams across the Acosta Group.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design & implement new finance processes

  • Review/create pricing to support on contract renewals and new projects/clients

  • Review invoices for completeness, accuracy & compliance with billing terms

  • Review month end results & complete variance analysis at a client & project level

  • Create quarterly & annual forecasts

  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction/margin improvement

  • Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures

  • Assist in system change, implementation & training

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a degree in accounting, finance or business administration

  • CPA in progress or complete is an asset

  • 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis or accounting

  • Experience creating, changing & documenting processes

  • Familiarity with ERP systems or billing processes/software

  • Strong proficiency in excel (xlookups, index match, etc.)

  • Experience with PowerBI or other reporting tools is an asset

  • Experience at an agency or 3PL is an asset
