The successful candidate will support the Brand Manager in defining strategies and implementing the annual brand marketing plans for the McCafé retail coffee portfolio. You will play a key role in driving relevance with consumers to drive growth for this portfolio in both the short and long term.


  • Support & collaborate to develop the long-term vision and strategy for the McCafé retail coffee brand by conducting in-depth analyses of the category, competitors and consumers. Leverage insights to feed into the go-to-market plans.

  • Assist in the execution of integrated marketing campaigns & brand projects including, but not limited to, advertising (TV, digital & social creative & media planning), promotions, PR, e-commerce and packaging to build brand equity and awareness. Analyze business results to ensure strategies are working and objectives are being realized.

  • Build strong relationships and develop clear communication internally (Revenue Growth Management, Shopper Marketing, Commercialization and Leadership) and with all external partners including agencies (media, creative & packaging) and McDonalds to drive program development and alignment that deliver results.

  • Support product development and project management for new products for the portfolio (including research, packaging, and managing the stage gate process). Work collaboratively with the Brand Manager and Insights team to identify Canadian market trends that uncover white space opportunities and support portfolio growth.

  • Actively co-manage the brand marketing budget including planning, reconciliation and reporting.



  • University Degree in Business and/or Marketing.

  • Two years’ experience in product and/or brand management, preferably in the food and/or consumer product industries.

  • Experience with product and packaging development

  • Experience with project management and coordination within a company.

  • Experience in working as part of a cross-functional team.


  • Good knowledge and understanding of the Canadian CPG/FMCG industry.

  • Good communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong project management, time management and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

  • Attention to detail and quality.

  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Independent and dynamic, enjoys and does well working in a team.

  • Goal and results oriented.

  • Ability to work in a constantly changing, fast-paced work environment.
