Overview

The Manager OTC ABAP is part of the IT Leadership Management function which leads, manages, mentors, and develops technology teams across ETP including Office of the CIO, business solutions, enterprise architecture and infrastructure teams.

Specialized Skills and Technologies

  • Proven, hands-on experience in SAP ABAP (MM, SD, WM, IM, PI Modules)

  • Experience in Workflow, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements and Forms (WRICEF) objects

  • Solid understanding of interfaces with non-SAP applications including but not limited to iDocs/EDI, file transfer, BAPIs, and XML

  • Basic knowledge of Object Oriented Programming Structure (OOPS)

  • Basic knowledge in business process (SD, MM, WM, IM)

  • SAP experience with ECC 6.0 or up

  • Experience in managing SAP Support Stack and Enhancement Pack upgrades

  • Experience in the implementation & support of SAP S4/Hana

  • Knowledge of OpenText

  • Experience in Waterfall and Agile methodologies

  • Experience with ServiceNow is a plus

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage and ensure incident response, Incident Post-Mortem/Root Cause Analysis activities

  • Ensures proper management, maintenance, provisioning and monitoring of all production end-user equipment.

  • Manages change initiatives in a systematic manner to ensure systems availability, performance and reliability.

  • Manages internal operations projects that may require cross-department resources and coordination.

  • Undertakes system maintenance.

  • Provides customer service to all internal staff.

  • Monitors the IT ticketing system to ensure timely correction of any incidents.

Additional Primary Responsibilities

  • Analyzes activities and documented resolutions, identify problem areas, devise and deliver solutions to enhance quality of service and prevent future issues.

  • Helps to define key operational metrics, develop reporting, and set targets to continuously improve. Present operational metrics to IT Leadership on a consistent basis.

  • Partners with Infrastructure Team in areas of cross use resources

  • Oversees timely handover of new services/resource from IT teams to functional area

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and formal education in a relevant discipline

  • 5+ years of business technology experience with prior supervisory experience

  • Experience working in large complex technology projects including those with offshore teams

  • Working knowledge of multiple disciplines and technologies

  • Strong team player with ability to work with multiple stakeholders across a variety of functions as well as able to work independently

  • Excellence presentation and facilitation skills to communicate complex information to technical and nontechnical stakeholders

  • Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to develop and manage an action plan including strong attention to detail

  • Ability to lead a team environment with the Agile delivery values of Openness, Commitment, Respect, Courage, and Focus

Physical Demands

  • Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or mobile device

  • Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping

  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
