A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN EQUIPMENT ASSEMBLER

As an Equipment Assembler, your day revolves around equipment assembly, maintenance, and minor repairs, such as changing fluids and hydraulic lines and replacing filters, ignitions, starts, and alternators on various pieces of equipment, including skid steers, mini excavators, light towers, generators, forklifts, and boom lifts. You accurately create and close service work orders on the computer. You clear the yard and parking lots of debris, including snow and ice removal in the winter. You also deliver and pick up tools and equipment for customers with a pick-up truck and trailer combo, along with moving and organizing equipment around the yard. Effective professional communication with customers is crucial as you troubleshoot equipment issues over the phone, email, and in-person and instruct customers on tool and equipment safety, operation, loading, and unloading. Equipment Assemblers prioritize company safety standards while completing assigned tasks efficiently.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A valid Drivers License with a clean driving record
  • Mechanical aptitude and prior experience assembling equipment
  • Experience driving a pick-up and trailer combo
  • Computer and technology skills related to your job duties
  • The willingness to work indoors and outdoors in all seasons

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Stand and walk for the duration of your shift
  • Frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
