Bio-Techne Talent Acquisition Intern in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Bio-Techne is seeking an intern who can support our global Talent Acquisition team with providing full-cycle recruitment support to our Hiring Managers. In this role, you would assist the Talent Acquisition Specialists with tasks such as posting job advertisements, scheduling interviews, sourcing passive candidates, and advertising vacancies on social media channels. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in shadowing the day-to-day work of a Recruiter. There may also be the opportunity to support requisitions of your own.

In addition to day-to-day support tasks, the Talent Acquisition Intern will also have the opportunity to help create and build talent acquisition strategy, including projects such as campus recruiting, hiring manager training and guide creation, and building talent pipelines.

This summer internship program is paid, with full-time hours during the day. There is also the possibility to extend into the school year on a part-time basis for the right candidate. All interns are required to conclude the program by giving a formal presentation on their work. Please note that no relocation assistance is provided for the internship program.

Job Duties:

  • Post job advertisements on the careers page and also external sites

  • Schedule phone interviews, coordinate panel and face-to-face interviews, and schedule candidate debriefs

  • Sourcing passive candidates off of external platforms such as LinkedIn and Indeed in order to fill vacancies and also build candidate pools

  • Further campus recruiting efforts by planning and coordinating career fairs and furthering relationships with career development departments at select universities

  • Partner with Digital Marketing and Human Resources to further promote Bio-Techne’s career offerings on social media platforms

  • Partner with marketing to create brand promotion flyers and resources

  • Research strategies to further promote the Bio-Techne brand within the local community

  • Create and implement talent acquisition strategies to proactively build candidate pools of frequently staffed positions

  • Assist with coordinating internal career promotion events and opportunities

  • Interview candidates for non-exempt positions

  • Create guides, resources, and training for the purpose of Hiring Manager training materials

  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Must be a currently enrolled student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to the internship

  • Must have completed (at minimum) the sophomore year of college

  • Must have a current GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • Must be able to work full-time hours during the summer months, with the possibility of continuing the internship on a part-time basis (5-15 hours/week) during the school year

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to effectively coordinate projects across multiple departments

  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Ability to effectively present information in small groups

  • Ability to independently research and troubleshoot in order to achieve objectives
