The opportunity
As a US R&D IT/Computer Science Senior Analyst you will work with the R&D Credits and Incentives Group and identify innovative activities across multiple clients engaged in cutting edge research. If you want to be exposed to exciting research and development initiatives in software product development, IT, communications and other high-tech fields, this role is for you. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with relevant specialist qualifications or experience in, IT or computer science, wishing to leverage and apply their specialist technical skills in a new way. This role will suit experienced and enthusiastic engineers/technologists who are driven to learn about new technologies and industry trends, widen their technical knowledge and have broader client and commercial exposure.

Your key responsibilities
As an IT/Computer Science Senior Analyst, you will discuss software products, technology prototypes, innovative software architectures, improved algorithms, and new frameworks with leaders in the industry. You will be working with a variety of clients at the forefront of technology, from entrepreneurs to public corporations, to evaluate and help prepare their research credit claims. In addition, you will work on developing customized, industry and engineering discipline-specific client surveys in our proprietary client-facing research credit technology platform (Prodigy) to solicit detailed information regarding the clients R&D efforts and projects.
Skills and attributes for success
Meet with clients and leverage your broad knowledge of current technologies to identify opportunities for claiming innovation in fields such as software development, artificial intelligence, machine learning, cyber security, wireless networks, data analytics, defense, robotics, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
Prepare detailed project descriptions of clients’ R&D activities.
Review detailed technical documentation such as technical specifications, technical papers, design documents, testing reports, etc. supporting our clients' R&D projects
Work with a multi-disciplinary group of accountants, attorneys and engineers to build a case for qualification of certain engineering projects for research credits and incentives.
Reviewing and providing comprehensive technical feedback on engineering narratives prepared by our Global Delivery Services (Offshore) teams
Analyzing, understanding and interpreting complex technical information provided by clients, to draw appropriate conclusions.
Ability to provide practical approaches and solutions to situations and apply critical thinking to ensure the delivery of high-quality technical work products.
Support the implementation of new functionalities for our proprietary client-facing research credit technology platform (Prodigy) and other tools through participating in requirement review sprints and user testing workshops
Manage client expectations and adhere to deadlines
Qualifications:
An undergraduate or masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems (MIS) or related IT field
2+ years of experience in R&D Credits or 3+ years of experience in technical consulting, engineering or IT field
Strong understanding of development technologies, cloud computing, programming languages, software architectures, algorithms and database design
Strong organizational and time management skills with a demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams
Creative thinking and technical writing abilities that enable you to effectively identify and describe the innovation within clients’ technology development efforts
Strong verbal and written communication skills

What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $80,700 to $133,300. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $96,800 to $151,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
