At Amazon Delivery Experience (ADX), we're revolutionizing the logistics industry through human-centered design and innovation. Our Freight team is reimagining shipping experiences, tackling complex transportation challenges with a relentless focus on user needs. We're seeking a growth-minded Senior UX Designer to drive this transformation, shaping solutions that redefine how goods move across America and impact millions of shipments and thousands of businesses daily.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end design projects that solve complex logistics challenges for freight shippers

  • Partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to define problems, opportunities, and solutions

  • Create service blueprints and object model diagrams to map complex systems and identify opportunities for innovation

  • Create user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs that balance customer needs with business goals

  • Conduct user research to deeply understand shipper needs and inform design solutions

  • Drive decisions through objective data including market analysis, customer insights, and business requirements

  • Mentor other designers and elevate the overall quality of design across the team

  • Champion design thinking and user-centered methodologies across the organization

  • Drive innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative design approaches

A day in the life

Your day might include facilitating a design thinking workshop, mapping service blueprints, collaborating on user research, creating prototypes for new features, mentoring designers, and syncing with cross-functional partners to align on product strategy. You'll leverage your expertise in UX best practices and your understanding of the freight industry to simplify complex logistics processes.

About the team

We're an innovation-focused team within ADX, tackling some of the most complex systems in logistics. Collaborating with world-class engineers, product managers, and business leaders, we push the boundaries of what's possible in freight transportation. You'll have the autonomy to explore bold ideas, rapidly prototype solutions, and see your designs come to life in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

Basic Qualifications

  • Have an available online portfolio

  • Experience working with stakeholders to plan and execute programs that are strategic in nature

  • Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity

  • Experience acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps

  • Knowledge of usability principles and techniques

  • Knowledge of best practices for information architecture and design

  • 6+ years of design experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with UX design of complex workflows

  • Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, InVision, or similar

  • Experience with hands-on visual design

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
