This position is responsible for the overall regional management of the quality (QA/QC) oversight process for all project related engineering and construction activities and regional overhauls. This position is intended for program oversight roles requiring technical experience such as engineering or construction. Responsible for the coordination and implementation and execution of programs that may apply to multiple projects, disciplines, or areas. Accountabilities include coordination with plant directors, project managers, and project leads and Overhaul Management to meet QA/QC standards and requirements for all capital and O&M projects. This position reports to the Manager, Energy Supply Quality Management Programs. Provides direction and assistance to project leads in developing QA/QC project plans. Assist in the development of inspection and testing plans for oversight of project activities including identification and scheduling of quality witness and inspection points for fabrication and installation activities. Responsible for coordinating work activities of QA/QC inspection personnel with the project lead. Manages QA oversight for projects; Inspect/review field construction activities including job site safety, equipment lay down areas, scheduling/staffing of inspection resources, project schedules, procurement, documentation , receipt of material & equipment, material fabrication/installation, QA/QC measures (including inspections & testing), job site communication, supervision of staff augmentation for inspection personnel. Responsible for implementing and managing uniform quality construction standards and processes for all major capital projects across the Energy Supply fleet. Reviews and analyzes construction quality performance against industry trends. Provides quality recommendations to the construction director and superintendents in Energy Supply. Are there any certifications that the candidate must possess? Background/knowledge with ISO 9001 and API etc. Explain what the scope of the work/project is? This resource will be responsible for working as a Quality Assurance manager for the NSP region; overseeing multiple projects to ensure that the quality program has applicable documentation in place. This documentation is to be reviewed and completed for each project. Each project will require a project management plan. There is a specific section in that plan that that this resource has the responsibility to review. Within that plan, this resource will have to sign off and approve that we also have project quality plans. This resource will be responsible for reviewing this with the project manager and project lead. This resource will also work on nonconformance reporting should a vendor provide a material specification or time guidelines, damage, etc. This resource will then be responsible for verifying that they are filled out correctly by that vendor and would then be responsible for providing a root cause analysis. Required Software skills:- Resource must have high proficiency in with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Teams, etc. Preferred experience with ProCore software.
