Isolate, purify, and culture human placental cells using sterile techniques following standard operation procedures. Grow and maintain stable cell cultures and lines and set up experimental assays 20% - Keep detailed records of all experiments and procedures in laboratory notebooks, databases, spreadsheets, and web-based applications. 10% - Conduct background literature research on relevant topics including current methods, 10% - Prepare media, enzymes, and solutions under sterile conditions in large quantities. Help monitor and train undergraduate student workers. 10% - Assist with ordering, maintaining laboratory inventory, and general laboratory upkeep. Qualifications Required Qualifications: BA/BS or a combination of related education and work experience to equal four years; applies knowledge and skill to a recurring task or activity with emphasis typically on precision and timeliness of execution.
