Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Production Assembler to join our team. You will be responsible for assembling electrical and mechanical parts into finished products using various tools and assembly equipment. Your role will involve reading and understanding assembly prints, bills of materials, and assembly processes to ensure high-quality production standards.
Responsibilities
Read and understand assembly prints, bills of materials, and engineering change orders.
Assemble electrical and mechanical parts into finished products using different types of tools and assembly process equipment.
Frequent use of screwdrivers and torque wrenches.
Perform hand soldering, depending on the department.
Knowledge and use of various adhesives and chemicals in the assembly process.
Use computer workstations for record-keeping and testing purposes.
Perform electronic testing on final assemblies using various test equipment.
Train on functions and products within the department.
Conduct quality control inspections.
Adapt to various manufacturing processes and technologies.
Lift up to 40 pounds consistently.
Essential Skills
Proficient use of hand tools, soldering, small screwdrivers, and torque wrenches.
Ability to read work instructions, blueprints, and schematics.
Experience with PCB or small part assembly.
Ability to perform tasks under a microscope.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Certification in IPC/JSTD is highly preferred.

Work Environment
The work schedule is from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday. You will be provided with a smock and safety glasses, but you must bring your own safety toe shoes. The large production area supports different lines for gas and flame detection sensors. Candidates will be cross-trained and placed in the department best suited to their skills and preferences. Please note that the epoxy smell can be strong in certain areas.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
