Job Overview
We at Fairview are looking for a Patient Registratrion to join the Fairview Riverside Clinic in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This benefit eligible position is on the day shift. Typical work schedule is 80 hours every two weeks and no weekends!
The Riverside Clinic has a diverse patient population and is one of the smaller clinics our system. It is a close knit staff with providers who focus on staff education. M Health Fairview - Riverside Clinic is a growing and sees patients from infant to adult.
Our Patient Registration crew greets and welcomes patients into the clinic. The verify, register and schedule patients with accurately and efficiently. This includes verifying insurance and demographic information. This team also reviews and maintains patient accounts, secures financial arrangements on self-pay balances prior to and during patient appointments, and researches and facilitates patients questions and concerns.
Verifies patient insurance coverage, eligibility, contract group number, effective dates and coverage, accurate insurance, and billing address.
Advises patients of insurance coverage co pays or self-pay policy and documents in patient account for front desk staff.
Monitors patient balances on patient accounts and alerts patients of outstanding balances to ensure appropriate financial arrangements.
Actively participates in crafting and implementing improvements.
Answers in-coming calls from patients or internal team members to assist with patient care when the need arises.
Schedules appointments for patients with specified clinician according to scheduling guidelines and availability actively trying to accommodate all involved.
Preferred:
- Completion of medical terminology course or equivalent experience and education preferred.
