Job ID360609 LocationTwin Cities Job FamilyHealth Care Full/Part TimeFull-Time Regular/TemporaryRegular Job Code8301AI Employee ClassCivil Service About the Job The Harel Lab is seeking an experienced researcher/MRI technologist to assist with ongoing lab activities and upcoming research. This position requires image processing experience as well as experience working in a clinical research setting. Job Duties Include (but are not limited to): * Acquire imaging data (operate 7T research scanner) * Able to interaction with participants such as obtaining informed consent, explanation of procedure, etc. * Perform standard image processing on MRI and CT datasets * Perform manual analyses on imaging data (registrations, segmentations, parcellations). * Organize and track imaging database * Support other research staff in identifying appropriate data for projects * Develop new methods for improving image analysis and addressing research and clinical needs Qualifications Required qualifications: * Bachelor's degree or a combination of related education/experience totaling at least four years * Extensive knowledge of MR imaging, including diffusion MRI * Proficiency using MR processing tools and software such as FSL, AFNI, and 3dSlicer * Demonstrated ability to work on projects independently while supporting day-to-day operations * Demonstrated experience working under Good Clinical Practice Preferred qualifications: * Advanced degree in a related field (physics, math, electrical engineering, neuroscience, etc) * Knowledge of DBS therapy and relevant neuroanatomy * Proficiency in at least one coding language (python, matlab, etc) * Familiarity with linux systems and bash scripting * Experience using UMN Redcap * Experience extracting information from patient charts and/or using Epic Benefits Working at the University At the University of Minnesota, you'll find a flexible work environment and supportive colleagues who are interested in lifelong learning.
