Robert Half Financial Analyst in Minneapolis, Minnesota
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role involves analyzing financial data, ensuring compliance with reporting standards, and supporting global financial processes. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting and finance, coupled with excellent organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
• Review monthly subsidiary financial data for accuracy and consistency as part of the global consolidation process, identifying unusual trends or variances.
• Analyze and retranslate multi-currency financial statements and reconcile intercompany discrepancies between subsidiaries.
• Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly bookings, billings, and backlog reports for executive management, ensuring reconciliation with subsidiary financials.
• Support accounting activities such as account reconciliations and journal entry preparation for the corporate general ledger, including transactions related to sales, costs, and investments.
• Assist in maintaining the Sarbanes-Oxley compliance program by documenting processes, testing controls, and ensuring adherence to internal policies.
• Provide guidance on financial reporting by preparing and reviewing schedules, analyses, and disclosures for quarterly and annual filings.
• Evaluate and enhance financial and operational processes globally, including the implementation of company policies at newly acquired entities.
• Contribute to the annual budget process by assisting in reprojections and financial planning.
• Collaborate on special projects such as financial due diligence, balance sheet allocations, and finance transformation initiatives.
• Facilitate internal and external audits by supporting documentation and providing necessary insights. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) is preferred.
• At least 2-5 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 2 years in public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of SEC reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends and variances.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and management.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in financial systems and tools, such as Oracle or similar platforms.
