Bio-Techne Content Strategist - (Contract-to-Hire) in Minneapolis, Minnesota

As a Content Strategist, you will help build audience trust and drive customer engagement by elevating Bio-Techne’s brand, product, and thought leadership. You will be responsible for planning, developing, and managing content across various digital platforms to meet business goals and engage target audiences effectively. The role involves creating a roadmap for content creation, distribution, and optimization to ensure consistency and alignment with overall business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements a content strategy that aligns with the organization's overall goals, target audience, and brand identity.

  • Identifies content gaps and opportunities through market research and competitor analysis.

  • Understands the target audience's needs, preferences, and behaviors to create content that resonates with them.

  • Oversees the creation of various types of content, including articles, blog posts, videos, infographics, and social media posts.

  • Ensures that content is high quality, aligns with brand guidelines, and is optimized for search engines (SEO).

  • Develops a distribution plan to effectively share content across different channels, including websites, social media, email, and other relevant platforms.

  • Utilizes / recommends content marketing tools and platforms to maximize reach and engagement.

  • Creates and maintains a content calendar to organize and schedule content production and distribution over time.

  • Coordinates with various teams, such as marketing, design, and social media, to ensure timely and consistent content delivery.

  • Partners with digital marketing on keyword research and integrate relevant keywords into content to improve search engine visibility and rankings.

  • Optimizes content for SEO best practices, including meta descriptions, headers, and image alt text.

  • Monitors and analyzes the performance of content using analytics tools.

  • Uses data to refine content strategies, identify successful content types, and make data-driven decisions.

  • Develops and enforces content governance policies to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with legal and brand guidelines.

  • Collaborates with various departments, such as marketing, sales, and product teams, to ensure content supports overall business objectives and messaging.

  • Stays informed about industry trends, content marketing innovations, and emerging technologies to keep the content strategy current and effective.

  • Manages a team of copywriters who are responsible for promotional copy across marketing tactics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, or similar area of study

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role with publicly available content samples, preferably in a life sciences domain

  • 3+ years of people management experience

  • Proven experience developing and executing compelling content for large enterprise brands.

  • Ability to collaborate across various teams in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Comfortable presenting ideas and reports to stakeholder groups and leadership

  • Comfortable working autonomously and collaboratively, with the organizational skills to ensure multiple tasks are executed at high quality and within deadlines.

  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills.
