Description
Robert Half is seeking an entry-level accounts payable specialist to join our client's team and offer additional support for a short-term project. This individual will provide attention to detail, have strong data entry experience, and be willing to learn. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be expected to handle high-volume matching, batching, and coding invoices. Other responsibilities include processing expense reports, updating and reconciling the sub-ledger to the general ledger, and processing checks. Prior high-volume Accounts Payable experience is preferred but not required.
Major responsibilities
Complete full-cycle A/P
Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
Provide support to internal business partners
Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department
Execute additional tasks as needed
Assist with internal and external audits as needed
Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily
Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them
Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling
Requirements
Requirements
Computer proficiency
1-2 years of accounts payable experience
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Great attention to detail
Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Experience with Lawson preferred
