TEKsystems Patient Liaison in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Location:
Milwaukee, WI
Position is 100% on-site
Hours:
- 8am-4:30pm M-F, with potential rotating Saturday hours and on-call schedule.
Description:
Work in an office outside of the Case Management office with the support of one other Patient Liaison.
Communicate within hospital applications and databases.
Receive list of patients set up for discharge daily and medical equipment needs.
Pull documents to qualify patients for medical equipment.
Run medical equipment deliveries through insurance team to determine eligibility and coverage.
Coordinate medical equipment delivery to patient's hospital room or to patient's home by delivery driver.
Deliver medical equipment to patient's room and demonstrate how to use equipment.
Collect sign off signatures from patients.
Process delivery paperwork in computer system.
Assist with additional duties such as data entry and filing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
MUST HAVES:
Professional approach and demeanor while following hospital dress code - familiarity working in hospital environment
Ability to adapt to change in daily priorities quickly.
Comfortability with face to face patient service/contact.
Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
High attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
Familiarity with HIPAA laws and regulations.
NICE TO HAVES:
Experience with insurance verification/insurance coverage.
Familiarity with diagnosis codes.
