Job Title: Maintenance Technician - Food Manufacturing

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with mechanical and electrical abilities to join our team. You will be responsible for maintaining slicing, packaging, and pressing machinery/equipment. Our company specializes in food products such as sliced fruits & veggies, fruit juice, and other healthy products. We are looking for an individual who can step in and help our team maintain efficiency and productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance on slicing, dicing, packaging, and pressing machinery for fruit and other products.

  • Conduct mechanical repairs on conveyors, belts, bearings, gears, and pumps.

  • Handle electrical repairs, including single/3 phase motors, fuses, relays, and 120-480v components.

  • Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.

  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics for effective maintenance and repair.

  • Ensure machinery and equipment are functioning optimally to meet production requirements.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in food manufacturing or similar industry.

  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical repairs.

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing PLCs.

  • Experience with machine building and fabrication.

  • Strong understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and 3-phase electrical systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting and machine building is a plus.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Work Environment

You will work in a very clean and organized facility. The available shifts are 1st shift from 7am-3:30pm and 2nd shift from 3pm-11pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
