FTE: 1.000000 Shift: 1 Schedule: Monday through Friday between the hours of 8am-5pm Job Summary: Under the direction of the executive director of behavioral health, the AODA Counselor is the primary resource dedicated to providing SBIRT/AODA/Columbia Suicide Scale and crisis interventions on the inpatient platform. This role autonomously provides support to the behavioral health and social work teams serving as both a direct patient care provider and a consultant to the interdisciplinary team. The AODA counselor is apt at working with complex patient populations and serves as the expert at allocating and connecting patients to the most appropriate community resources to meet patients identified goals. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: Two years working with individuals with substance use and mental health disorders. 3-5 years of experience in hospital case management preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Master\'s Degree in Social Work required. T RAINING DESCRIPTION: Completion of the 4 hour state of WI SBIRT training required within 30 days of hire. Training in motivational interviewing preferred. SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Knowledge of Care Management practices and ability to apply that knowledge to multiple healthcare settings. Ability to motivate, inspire, and support CM/SW staff and colleagues. Ability to effectively develop positive working relationships at all levels. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is required. Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) preferred.
