The Headlines:

In the role of Environmental and Sustainability Engineer working in Milwaukee, WI, you will be part of the Technical Services team. You will lead local execution of environmental aspects of the Environmental, Health, and Safety Strategy and drive day-to-day environmental compliance at the Milwaukee Brewery and Miller Valley Brewing with technical support provided to 10th Street Brewery and Chippewa Falls Brewery.

You will collaborate and interface with external stakeholders to obtain and maintain necessary permits, understand impacts of pending regulation, and enhance MillerCoors community reputation. You will coach others to drive plant engagement in environmental and regulatory compliance.

The Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with applicable environmental laws and regulations including the Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Emergency Planning, Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA), and Department of Transportation (DOT) Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR).

• Maintain and enhance key environmental permits and programs including air permitting and compliance, greenhouse gas reporting, stormwater pollution prevention and permit compliance, green infrastructure management, industrial wastewater indirect discharges, EPCRA reporting, Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) plan, Risk Management Plan (RMP), hazardous waste management, hazardous materials shipping, and radiation safety program.

• Facilitate environmental incident investigations

• Monitor progress of environmental improvement programs

• Assess the existing or potential environmental impact projects on air, water, and waste.

• Identify and collaborate on environmental, energy saving, and renewable energy projects

• Develop, implement, and manage plans/programs related to recycling and zero waste to landfill program.

• Support key safety programs such as ammonia process safety management/risk management, asbestos management, and emergency response

• Coach operational teams on improving environmental performance

• Lead active environmental related teams and engagement activities

• Manage sanitation and landscaping contracts.

The Other Qualifications:

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or related technical degree

• You have at least 5 years of work experience in an environmental field in a manufacturing environment

• Previous experience with implementing water and energy reduction and waste/recycling programs

• Advanced familiarity with federal and state environmental rules and regulations

• Ability to lead volunteer and mandated team efforts

• Proficient in the use of incident investigation and problem-solving methodologies

• Ability to analyze data, recognize business impact and communicate trends
