Key Job Responsibilities Aligns, fits, assembles and tests component parts for sub-assemblies. Performs disassembly as required for repairs and rebuilds. Receives work assignments, follows standard assembly / disassembly procedures or when required, secures and reads drawings for assembly specifications, obtains material, tools and equipment. Assembles a variety of component parts, including but not limited to bench work and transmissions, by inserting, bolting, pressingand fitting together to comprise unit. Uses heat or liquid nitrogen as necessary to shrink or expand parts to facilitate assembly. Drills, reamsand taps holes for assembling. Files and grinds surfaces to obtain proper fit as required. Removes burrs, chips and foreign material. Lubricates facilities and assembly parts as necessary. Checks operations of moving parts and adjusts as needed for proper functioning. Tests transmissions and collects vibration data to analyze. Sets and aligns assemblies using measuring equipment. Levels and mounts equipment, shimming when necessary. Assembles following applicable MOP standards. Qualifications/Requirements Previous Heavy Assembly experience is strongly preferred. Must be able to communicate well within a team structure. Available for work approximately 40 hours per week. Ability to work 2nd Shift. Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task and be flexible. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality-always. Team oriented. May be asked to work weekends. Ability to work weekends as needed. Union Work experience is a plus. Print reading is also a plus Additional Information Benefits: Starting wage is \$28.52 / hour. Shift premium Available for off shift roles. Vacation and personal time after 6 months of service.
