Position overview:

Working as part of a team of Process experts, the role will have responsibility predominantly for New Build, New Line and Line Conversion start- up performance in washer, RO and WWT areas. He/she will has their own process area of responsibility based on their prior experience and role within the team.

Responsibility will predominantly be driven by achieving Efficiency, Spoilage and environmental compliance in the first instance, with secondary responsibility for other KPIs such as Material usages, Production Supplies, utilities usage optimizations as appropriate to the area of expertise.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Efficiency and Spoilage for all New Build, New Line and Line Conversions start-ups as per the agreed start-up curves

  • Responsibility on FE area leading the overall start-up performance .

  • Training of site personnel in Process understanding and performance as required

  • Emergency Breakdown support

  • Size Conversion support

  • Identification of Best Practice opportunities

  • Frequent travles on a weekly basis across Europe

Experience required:

  • Chemical degree desirable

  • Training/ teaching qualification

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience of operating in Can manufacturing

  • Subject expert in at least one specific area

  • Ability to transfer Can making process knowledge to others

  • Has used basic Problem Solving techniques and the basics of Lean

  • Worked in cross-cultural teams

  • Analytical skills that can analyse data and facilitate problem solving using this data

  • Has the ability to use data to make informed decisions

  • Good computer literacy to aid data analysis and for the writing of reports

  • Proficient / fluent in English

  • Results driven

  • Proactive and forward thinking

  • Continuous Improvement mind-set that can easily identify opportunities to remove waste

  • Seeks perfection in self and others

  • Ability to operate Autonomously and work in teams settings

  • Has strong attention to detail

  • The ability to engage with all levels of employees

  • A passion for coaching, mentoring and training

  • Is versatile in the ability and willingness to travel at short notice
