Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Performs cleaning, housekeeping, and light maintenance tasks and services throughout assigned property. Picks up trash and empties trash containers. Performs light repairs and maintenance such as replacing light fixtures or unclogging pipes. Assists with the cleaning and sanitizing of shared facilities and common spaces. Vacuums and cleans floors, rugs, furniture, and drapes. Performs limited grounds maintenance such as cleaning snow from sidewalks. Examines property for safety hazards, reports problems to Facilities Manager or other appropriate staff. Ensures that cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked. Modifies scope of cleaning and maintenance based on specified needs of the particular property (apartments, parking facilities, etc.) Performs other related duties as required. Ensures assigned equipment is in proper working order and available for use. Receives, manages, and processes work order requests; ensures problems are resolved quickly. Acts as liaison between employees and any outside contractors needed to resolve specialized problems. Ensures safety standards are followed throughout facility. Participates on emergency preparedness planning team. Applies, or assists with application, for required environmental permits. Maintains inventory of supplies; reorders as needed. Requires Skills/Abilities: Detail-oriented and thorough. Thorough understanding of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions. Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine maintenance. Ability to keep the property clean and orderly. Good interpersonal skills with polite and courteous demeanor toward staff, customers, clients, and visitors to the property. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software necessary to create and maintain reports and logs. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment. Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions Ability to read, speak, and write in English Required to regularly lift up to 50lbs Flexibility to work overtime and additional shifts based on business needs Desired Qualities: Attention to detail - ability to complete tasks fully and maintain a clean environment.
