Milford Regional Medical Center Manager Employee Health in Milford, Massachusetts
Statement of Purpose:
The Manager, Employee Health working with Human Resources, Infection Control, and the UMass Occupational Health team oversees health and safety services and policies for Milford Regional’s 2400+ employees and medical staff in order to improve their health, wellness, and safety.
Qualifications:
Education:
Completion of a RN program or Associate Degree. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Certification / License:
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts.
Experience:
Five years of experience in Health System Occupational Health preferred.
Certified Occupational Health Nurse - COHN preferred.
2+ years of direct management experience including dealing with complex issues or equivalent
Superior communication skills; skilled listener and encourages direct, open, and honest conversation keeping all staff apprised of appropriate information
Proven ability to take initiative and build strong and productive personal relationships
Excellent coaching, conflict resolution and mentoring skills
Effectively manages team performance, including setting and holding employees accountable to established performance expectations. Ability to deliver effective feedback in a positive and constructive manner
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, utilizing problem-solving skills, creativity, and critical thinking.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment, and drive employee engagement and teamwork
Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and drive performance and process improvement initiatives
Strong presentation skills and ability to present at all levels of the organization
Ability to formulate and execute strategic plans for the organization. Demonstrated ability to make timely, informed data-driven decisions based on associated facts, objectives and risks.
Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and use budgets and projections to execute financially related activities.
Demonstrates a knowledge of occupational health, case management, OSHA standards, and Mass DPH and Joint Commission regulations.
Must be a data and goal driven problem solver, organized, detail-oriented, flexible and adaptable, a team player, and self-motivated individual with a positive attitude.
Computer proficiency; proficiency in EXCEL and PowerPoint preferred.
