We are looking for a n Oracle/PostgreSQL Administrator to be hired with a permanent contract in Milan within the Grid Software - Grid Control area.

Your Challenge
Your mission will be to support the management in the definition and application of technological strategies within a portfolio that is transitioning to product-oriented management, guaranteeing anyway the governance, optimization and maintenance of our clients’ database systems, ensuring their availability, security and performance, both on Oracle and PostgreSQL technology.

You will be able to make your contribution to initiatives of an international and multi-cultural nature, leading a small team of expert DBAs and collaborate with QA/Dev/Ops Teams towards a path of continuous improvement and continuous delivery!
Your main activities will be:
Influence the main partners and the Customer’s “Decision makers” enabling them to think innovative
Maintain contacts with partners and clients to influence decisions for new solutions or critical issues
Work effectively in autonomy and as a member of a team, with the aim of becoming a point of reference for the internal team
Promote innovation and continuous improvements to increase
Design, implement and maintain sophisticated enterprise databases, Oracle and PostgreSQL, in according with the ultimate standard methodologies/recommendation for CySec.
Supervise and optimize database performance, identifying and resolving issues such as storage partitioning or archive (table spaces, datafiles and segment space)
Ensure the security and data integrity of databases, including data backups, recovery or disaster recovery (RMAN, DataGuard, etc)
Work with DataBase developers to ensure the best DBA tech solution
Perform installation, configuration, and upgrade of database software
Plan and implement data migrations , database upgrades and CySec patch management
Develop and document database management procedures and guidelines
Provide second level support for troubleshooting database issues
Maintain compliance with data and security regulations
To be a perfect fit for this role, you must have:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
Demonstrable experience as Oracle Database Administrator
In-depth knowledge of relational databases (Oracle-10,11,12,19, PostgreSQL)
Expertise in SQL, scripting and automation. DevOps' experience would be appreciated
System expertise on Linux (Suse-11/12/15, Debian, etc.)
Demonstrable experience in managing RDBMS environments on both physical and virtualized/containerized infrastructure (VMWare, OVH, Docker, etc.)
Skills in performance tuning and database problem detection
Knowledge of database security standard processes
Ability to work independently and in a team
DBA certification (optional, but appreciated)
Agile frameworks/roles certification (optional, but appreciated), i.e.: Scrum, SAFe, Scrum Master, Product Owner, etc.
Ability to communicate effectively
Results orientation and customer orientation
Passion to never-stop growing
Respect and appreciation of each person’s uniqueness, willingness to co create and share knowledge
Proficiency in English and Italian (Spanish is a plus)
