This enables us to provide the best service and advice, tailoring the transactional risks insurance policy to each deal.

The Role

M&A BROKER (M&A, Transactional Risks, FINEX Global)

Our rapidly growing M&A unit is now looking for a young Associate based in Milan to support the M&A team in Italy and the international M&A capability ensuring the delivery of revenue targets, in a compliant and ethical manner.

Main responsibilities:

Advising clients on M&A insurance products in the context of transaction processes, finding the best insurance solutions in the market. This implies: legal and business review of M&A deals (including - inter alia - relevant transaction documents, such as SPAs, R&Ws, investment agreements and due diligence reports), assessment of the main issues under insurance perspective, assessment of the insurability of risk, work closely with the deal team granting them the best support within a reasonably short time, structure warranty and indemnity insurance and other transactional risk insurance solutions, lead negotiations with insurers for insured risks, building and maintaining relationships with M&A players, including insurers.

Qualifications

  • Italian legal degree (“laurea in Giurisprudenza”)

  • English Level C1

Experience:

  • 2-5 years experience in corporate law and in advising on mergers and acquisition deals;

  • Previous experience of corporate law from a well-regarded law firm is beneficial;

  • Strong working level knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word is essential;

  • High analytical, creative and curious nature, alongside an ability to work through problems on their own and with teams. Ability to organize, analyses and interpret structured and unstructured data and information to be used for decision-making

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Strong negotiations skills

  • Good levels of business and financial acumen with an understanding of company strategy

  • Presentation and communication skills – ability to present clearly, translating concepts and information in a manner that is appropriate and accessible to all levels, both internally and externally

  • People skills – upward and direct management, persuasion, negotiation, diplomacy, able to work within mixed and virtual teams, able to forge links and build networks with different WTW teams
