As the main broadcaster of the Olympic Games in Europe, Eurosport has delivered a unique experience to its fans and achieved records for both linear and digital audiences. Already positioned as the main broadcaster of Cycling, Tennis Grand Slam and Winter Sports, the Eurosport 1, Eurosport 2 channels reach million subscribers across Europe, Asia-Pacific, Africa, and the Middle East.

Global Technology & Operations (GT&O) provides technological infrastructure and operations support to ensure audiences can enjoy Eurosport's programming around the world and across platforms.

The candidates must provide technical and operational support to Live Production systems including but not exclusively: Kula/Kahuna, VizRT, LiveTouch, Lawo, Powercore, Lama automix, Atos BNCS, studio solution, VR solution, etc. Working to maintain the highest levels of system reliability and user satisfaction during the live production.

Your responsabilities..

  • Technical support for PCR, MFR, DMR, SCR users, commentary booths and audio mix ESP 1 and 2

  • Technical sound engineering for ESP 1 and 2

  • Design and implementation work

  • Testing of hardware and software

  • System updates and configuration changes along with timetable

  • Assurance of uninterrupted production flow

  • BNCS system configuration for current production purposes

  • Vmix software operation – video streaming

  • EVERTZ encoders and decoders management and configuration changes

  • Ongoing maintenance and repairs of hardware and network

  • Technical support for LiveTouch operation

  • Conservation, configuration, clip recording and service of KULA video mixers

  • Lawo Ruby and Lawo 56m2 audio mixers support, configuration and conservation

  • Knowledge of virtual machines technology

  • Basic competence in vizArt system

  • Constant development of knowledge and skills relevant for the job

  • Readiness to take on new tasks based on current business requirements

  • Support and team approach to other Eurosport and Discovery teams and areas

  • other tasks ordered by Supervisor/manager

Experience and skills..

  • Broadcast technology fluent knowledge

  • Preferred experience in live sports events and sports production environment

  • Experience for the comment audio mixing for live events

  • Knowledge of a Broadcast IP environment. Knowledge of and experience with SMPTE 2110 and AES 67.

  • The ability to juggle and effectively manage a large number of requests and prioritizing as necessary.

  • Ability to work unsupervised, proactive.

  • Ability to work and remain calm under pressure.

  • Excellent people and interpersonal skills, good team player.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to different demands.

  • High levels of initiative, motivation, and time management.

  • Engineering degree (Sound and Image) required or one to 3 years of experience in Broadcast, Live operations or TX/Playlist live operations.

  • Fluent written and spoken English.
