Job Title: Controls Technician
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Controls Technician to join our team. This position is for the 3rd shift, Monday to Friday, from 10pm to 6am. The role involves maintaining and improving hardware for control systems on the facility floor, supporting PLC, HMI, and robotic programming, and using computer-based engineering software.
Responsibilities
Maintain or improve all hardware required for control systems located on the facility floor.
Understand and support PLC and HMI programs located in equipment on the facility floor.
Understand and support robotic programming located in equipment on the facility floor (ABB S4, Motoman MRC XRC NX100, Fanuc RJ2 RJ3).
Assist by specifying ancillary robotic welding equipment including weld guns, torches, cabling, dress out, tool changers, tip dressers, and torch cleaners.
Use computer-based engineering software and equipment: PLC and HMI base programs, PC-based programs, CAD-based programs.
Test suspect control or electrical devices for failures.
Essential Skills
Experience and knowledge around PLCs, specifically Siemens and/or Allen Bradley.
Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and robotics.
PLC programming, troubleshooting, and automation.
Experience with HMI, robotics, and preventive maintenance.
Work Environment
This role is based on the facility floor, working with various control systems and robotic equipment. The position requires working the 3rd shift, Monday to Friday, from 10pm to 6am. The environment is dynamic and involves the use of advanced engineering software and equipment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $35.00/hr.
