Your Role

The Safety & Health Expert works within the Quality, Safety, Health & Environment Function. QSHE is the Functional Unit that commits to quality, health, safety and environment. Ensures day-to-day operations and actions are delivered in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and policies, to avoid harm to our people, environment and communities in which we operate. Is part of the Quality, Safety, Health & Environment Department and owns accountability for the implementation and management of SH standards, while monitoring adherence, training employees, evaluating and preventing risks. Provides advice and administrative assistance within the Business Unit in all matters related to Health & Safety, according to company nomination letter as “Addetto Servizio Prevenzione e Protezione Aziendale” (ASPP) and related tasks stated by article 33 Italian Law Decree 81/2008. In order to cover the role, the certificate as "Addetto Servizio Prevenzione e Protezione Aziendale" (ASPP)/"Responsabile Servizio Prevenzione e Protezione Aziendale" (RSPP) is required.

Your Responsibilities

  • Implement and coordinate functional strategies and standards within given area of responsibility (e.g. ISO 45001 certification, Modello Organizzativo e Gestionale adopted by Kuehne+Nagel Italy acc. to Law Decree 231/01)

  • Coordinate and handle Health & Safety reporting, monitoring Safety KPIs on monthly basis in cooperation with National

  • QSHE Manager/RSPP and National QSHE Health & Safety Manager

  • Carry out regular site inspections to check and ensure company Safety & Health policies and procedures are properly implemented and applied

  • Address responsibilities for Safety & Health matters within the Business Unit and the given area, to prevent risks and incidents

  • Handle Health & Safety risk assessment (identification, evaluation, definition of the measures to be adopted) to mitigate potential hazards

  • Initiate gap analysis, develop, improve and validate QSHE process improvements, CAPA and training material

  • Organize and control of additional required Safety and Health checks according to national laws, focusing on italian Legislative Decree n.81/2008

  • Issue Safety Working Instructions, roll-out and conduct of annual Health & Safety QSHE-related Training Plan for respective Contract Logisics sites in cooperation with National QSHE Team
