Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer (CA) for John Deere in Milan, IL, you will:
Develop, code, configure, and test programs and systems;
Evaluate and implement enhancement design solutions to improve the cost, quality, and performance of software applications;
Analyze assignments and determine software specifications that must be fulfilled to achieve objectives;
Execute the necessary documentation, as directed or needed;
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders and team members to ensure that features meet business needs;
Follows industry-standard Agile software design methodology for development and documentation;
and mentor junior software engineers on the team.
Must live within normal commuting distance of the worksite. Up to 50% remote work allowed.
What Skills You Need
2 years of experience using back-end technologies including Java, J2EE, Springboot, Spring and Struts to support, enhance and maintain Composite Forecasting, decision work Queue and Service Parts Expediting Reporting Tool
2 years of experience using PL/SQL for executing design, development and enhancement to Multi-Echelon Optimization (MEO) and forecasting for service parts management to support aftermarket and customer support
2 years of experience using Mainframe/COBOL for executing design, development and enhancement to Multi-Echelon Optimization (MEO) and forecasting for service parts management to support aftermarket and customer support
2 years of experience using Amazon Web Services Docker and Kubernetes, Azure APIM, and Databricks to create API for connecting with parts warehousing system EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) like priority point and demand forecast
2 years of experience using Informatica, SAP Data Services to develop interfaces like Stock Keeping Unit, Vendor Loc SKU Lead Time, order plan, demand and forecast
2 years of experience using SAP ECC Modules including Materials Management and to develop interfaces like Stock Keeping Unit, Vendor Loc SKU Lead Time, order plan, demand and forecast
2 years of experience using Maven, Git, OKTA and front-end technologies React Redux, and AJAX to enhance and maintain planning and procurement Parameter Maintenance and Demand Adjustment application
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field plus 5 years related experience.
