Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Midland, Texas
Description We are offering an exciting contract to permanent employment opportunity in the industry, located in Midland, Texas, United States. The role of an Accounting Clerk is central to our team. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be entrusted with a variety of accounting tasks that include maintaining up-to-date accounts payable and receivable records, preparing financial reports, and reconciling bank and credit card statements.
Responsibilities:
• Undertake data entry of financial transactions into the ERP system on a daily basis
• Provide essential accounting and clerical assistance to the accounting department
• Prepare, maintain, and type accurately accounting documents and records
• Reconcile bank statements and credit card expenses periodically
• Assist and support company personnel as required
• Research, track, and rectify accounting or documentation inconsistencies and discrepancies
• Keep management informed and compile reports/summaries on various activity areas
• Ensure compliance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws
• Continually update job knowledge to stay current with industry trends and practices. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as an Accounting Clerk
• Proficient in Account Reconciliation
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with billing procedures
• Strong data entry skills
• Experience with invoice processing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of Oracle financial software
• Practical experience with QuickBooks
• Familiarity with SAP accounting system
