Clinical nurses are empowered to work toward an improved healthcare system by providing safe, timely, effective, equitable, and patient centered care (IOM). Qualifications Department Required Experience Preferred Experience Recommended Training Mandatory Training Progressive Cardiac Care Unit (6430-3 North); (6431-3 South); (6441-4 South) New graduates considered 1 year Medical-Surgical or Telemetry ACLS within 6 months Basic Dysrhythmia class within 6 months. MERT Training within 6 months; Medical Surgical Units (6440-4North); (6450-5North) New graduates considered 1 year Medical-Surgical ACLS required within 1-year postprobationary period Medical-Surgical Telemetry Units; (6451-5South); (6421-2South) New graduates considered 1 year Medical-Surgical ACLS required within 1 year post-probationary period, Basic Dysrhythmia within 1 year Orthopedics Neuro-Spine Ortho-Trauma (6443 – 4 West) New graduates considered 1 Year Medical Surgical, Orthopedic and total joint replacement, surgical patient care experience preferred TCAR ACLS within 1 year post-probationary period, Basic Dysrhythmia within 1 year Oncology (6420) 2North New graduates considered 1 year Oncology or MedicalSurgical ONS /ONCC - Chemotherapy/Immuno Therapy card within 6 months of hire Oncology Certification preferred ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy/Immuno Therapy card within 12 months of hire or transfer and maintained after 1 year.
