The Jr. Data Analyst must be able to work equally well in both technical and non-technical environments and effectively communicate technical information in a common, non-technical manner. This individual must work well in a fast paced environment; the ability to efficiently organize and prioritize projects and assignments to meet deadlines is essential to success.
This position requires that applicants be enrolled in a degree program that will grant them credit hours for their internship. Applicants must be current students enrolled in a program in Data Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
Participate in creating and delivering solutions for staff and project teams. Will leverage their analytic skills to derive insights and solve problems.
Responsible for developing, reviewing, identifying and analyzing data from various systems.
Work to clean up data in our systems.
Perform special projects and ad-hoc reporting as required.
Requires data analytics experience by updating, correcting and maintaining data to ensure accuracy.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONAL / ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT:
Work closely with supported departments – requires good interpersonal skills and written communication.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:
Proficient in MS Excel (intermediate to expert level) including v-lookups, functions and pivot tables and charts.
Familiar with data tools such as MS Access and SQL (or other relational databases).
Ability to work through multiple lines of data and worksheets for analysis.
Ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues identified in the data (errors in data).
Good team working skills - Effectively communicate and integrate with diverse business functions across the agency.
Close attention to detail, fast learner. Someone who can see information.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Entry Level\New Graduate with an emphasis in data & analytics preferred.
Two or more years’ of progressive data analytics experience is a plus but not required.
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:
Must be capable to sit or stand in front of a computer for long-periods of time
Able to work in open space floor plan
Work alongside co-workers within 6 feet
Must be able to move in tight spaces
Occasional lifting of > _25+ pounds
