Pfizer Maintenance and Calibration Lead in Middleton, Wisconsin

Responsible for general facilities maintenance; oversees outside services including janitorial, grounds keeping, pest control, along with contracted inspections and permits. Ensures maintenance and calibration process are performed safely and in compliance with SOP's and cGMP requirements using current asset management system.

What You Will Achieve

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee and plan the calibration, repair and maintenance of all facility equipment including HVAC, building, grounds, plant utilities, and manufacturing equipment while ensuring all finished assignments are documented per cGMP requirements.

  • Oversee contracts and service providers for janitorial, pest control, lawncare/snow removal functions. Coordinate service contracts and inspections related to fire suppression and security systems.

  • Coordinate planned shutdowns, new construction and facility improvements per lifecycle investment strategies.

  • Compose new or revise departmental SOP's ER's safety assessments and protocols as required.

  • Provide goals and directions for maintenance and calibration colleagues, assuring that all processes are performed safely and in compliance with cGMP standards.

  • Responds to call-outs and emergencies as necessary.

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

  • Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of experience; OR a master's degree with 0+ years of experience;OR an associate's degree with 6 years of experience; OR a high schooldiploma (or equivalent) and 8 years of relevant experience

  • Experience with computerized asset management systems.

  • Knowledge of OSHA and other environmental regulations.

  • Understanding of GMP, ISO and other regulatory standards applicable to a pharmaceutical API manufacturing facility

Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)

  • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, electromechanical, pneumatic, electronics, building maintenance, pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, calibration of instruments and equipment.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; occasionally required to stand; sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell; occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to distinguish colors and adjust focus.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $80 300,00 to $133 900,00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 10,0% of the base salary.
