Cordis Education Program Coordinator (Miami, FL) in Miami Lakes, Florida

Overview

The Education Program Coordinator is a new position at Cordis and supports the Professional Education Team, North America. In this role, you will have direct ownership to execute programs impacting internal and external learners on their education path. The Education Program Coordinator position reports into the Director of Professional Education.

This position requires a proactive and effective communicator who is highly organized and will drive progress on key initiatives and effective communications on behalf of the Professional Education Team. The successful candidate will be a discrete and highly trusted individual who is committed to carrying out the vision of the Professional Education Team by coordinating and executing education events. Education is an immense priority for the North America commercial organization and requires the Education Program Coordinator to be a highly resourceful individual who is process-oriented, able to multi-task, solution-driven and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Professional Education teammates to schedule and organize educational meetings and events according to training schedule and need

• Collaborate with Global Travel and Expense, Legal, Healthcare Compliance, HCP Engagement, Finance and internal cross-functions to ensure program compliance and consistency

• Manage external vendors to convey program needs, negotiate pricing, initiate contracts, complete bookings and achieve competitive pricing within pre-determined budget

• Communicate program status (prior to, during and after events) to ensure smooth operations; escalate issues or opportunities as observed

• Lead program communications to end learners and adopt a professional, respectful tone; develop standard practices and consistency with these communications

• Coordinate interactions between Cordis teammates, trainees, physician faculty/attendees, external contacts and all other program stakeholders as it relates to educational meetings and events

• Manage requests in the HCP engagement system and adhere to Healthcare Providers (HCP) engagement processes

• Manage Professional Education program budget and maintain accurate books and records to ensure adherence to global transparency reporting requirements

• Prepare and order educational aids and materials such as product demos, simulators and printouts

• Design basic program documents (such as calendars and agendas); collaborate respective stakeholders and promote documents as needed

• Champion Cordis policies and practices; help develop SOPs for training events to promote consistency

• Manage post-event surveys to support program growth and development; gather feedback from learners and facilitators after each educational session

The Education Program Coordinator will provide support the following areas:

• Meeting coordination with all necessary stakeholders

• Travel arrangements

• Expense reporting

• Consultant contracts

• PO processing

• SharePoint Site Administration

• Records retention

• IT requests

• Facilities planning

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ related work experience as a program coordinator/manager, prior training facilitator or similar role experience

• BS degree in Education, Training, HR or related field preferred, otherwise relevant certifications in event and/or project management (PMP, CMM, CMP) can be supplemented

• Demonstrated success coordinating multiple education events in a corporate setting

• Demonstrated expertise in vendor management, negotiations and

• Advanced MS Office proficiency

• Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments

• Advanced communication skills

• Ability to travel domestically, estimated 10% travel

• Knowledge of the company, sector and key stakeholders desirable but not essential

• Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools

• Familiarity with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques
