NBC Universal Sr. Staff Network Engineer – Perimeter in Miami, Florida

Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

NBCUniversal’s Operations and Technology group is looking for a Senior Staff Network Engineer with deep and broad knowledge across network technologies with specific expertise in application load balancing to support NBC globally. The successful candidate must have experience with F5 deployments and be able to work with a diverse customer base to deliver the appropriate SLA for applications. The candidate with be part of a larger network engineering team working hybrid at one of NBC core production facilities in Universal City, Denver, NYC, or Miami.
Basic Requirements:
12+ years’ experience configuring and troubleshooting F5 LTM, GTM, ASM, AFM.
Experience in deploying, configuring, and managing F5 devices via BIG-IQ for policy management, software upgrades, and reporting.
Proficiency in using TC: for the creation and maintenance of iRules.
Experience with BIG-IQ Centralized Management API.
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and fundamental network security concepts.
Work in hybrid environment commutable to one of NBC core production locations (Universal City, Denver, NYC, Miami).
Develop and update technical documentation for 24/7 NetOps teams to support initial troubleshooting and triage efforts.
Be part of a global SRE on-call rotation support Tier3/4 escalation.
Manage reporting and dashboards for overall network infrastructure to ensure hardware and software lifecycle is visible and managed in accordance with requirements.
Experience with Process Automation and Product Life cycle management.
Extensive experience working with Internal Audit and Cyber teams to define, develop, adjust, and documentation of compliance related network infrastructure requirements, objectives, and deliverables.
Desired Characteristics:
F5 Certified Solution Expert/ Palo Alto Network PCSAE/PCNSE Certified or equivalent experience.
CCNP Routing and Switch Certified or 5 years+ enterprise network engineering and operations experience.
Experience with development of ServiceNow CMDB Workflow and Processes, API and automating workflows.
Strong experience with vendor management, OEM platform and software review and Bug Scrubbing.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and help integrate security measures into the deployment process.
