Overview

The Manager, Supplier Insights COE – CPWS will play a critical and highly visible role in collaborating with the Coastal Pacific W&S Commercial Operations and Strategy leadership team across the Supplier Center of Excellence team’s Strategic Insights, Multicultural Insights and Supplier Insights pillars. They will do this by providing actionable insights and analysis for both the CPWS commercial teams/Supplier from the Supplier Center of Excellence. This role will be expected to be the Subject Matter Expert for CPWS within the SGWS Supplier Center of Excellence and be comfortable using Business Objects, Vista and other SGWS multicultural tools and third party retailer, consumer and shopper data including Nielsen, Numerator, Scarborough and Spectra.

Success in this role requires excellent project management skills and the ability to deliver multiple insights projects simultaneously. The individual must be results driven and able to package and deliver insights to Supplier COE and CPWS Leadership to influence and support commercial and strategic plan development.

The Manager, Supplier Insights COE – CPWS role will be heavily involved across five key highly visible workstreams:

  1. Lead national analytical Insights support by providing actionable category, customer and consumer insights including multicultural data at the request of SGWS CPWS Commercial Executives

  2. Serve as the key connection point within the COE to analyze and merge SGWS internal category and customer data, Multicultural data and consumer data to proactively develop growth opportunities for the CPWS portfolio

  3. Collaborate on Supplier COE departmental Insights projects to develop a customized package of information for CPWS and Supplier corporate teams to identify incremental growth opportunities by leveraging SGWS Supplier COE datasets and insights

  4. Explore opportunities at the direction of CPWS Leadership to support or validate Insights requests from the Supplier marketing and commercial teams including but not limited to multicultural, customer and category data

  5. Brand Onboardings and Transitions – Partner with the VP CPWS Business Intelligence on the standardized COE new brand transition process to support and streamline any future brand transitions into the SGWS network

Primary Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact with the Supplier Center of Excellence to share Insights best practices and actionable information being produced for the SGWS organization with CPWS leadership

• Proactively compile and analyze data from a variety of internal and external sources across the SGWS portfolio available within the Supplier COE to identify relevant trends and information for the CPWS team.

• Analyze supplier business results vs. SGWS and external category trends to identify areas to enhance or accelerate growth by providing high-level actionable insights to commercial teams.

• Lead and coordinate strategic analyses and presentations for category and channel analysis for CPWS Commercial Leadership

• Lead and customize deep-dive reports that are published and distributed to senior CPWS leadership and commercial leads across the SGWS organization

• Deliver customized supplier insights for executive meetings, deep dives into supplier business, developing insights for key supplier priorities and innovation analysis

• Design and develop on-going and ad-hoc commercially actionable analyses for CPWS

• Analyze SGWS business performance scorecards against CPWS supplier performance with specific commentary focused on business drivers, performance trends, risks and opportunities including innovation items, leveraging all available data sources including Compass, SalesNav and Nielsen

• Serve as the department subject matter expert to train, deploy and oversee the National ACV & Price-tier tracking tools across the CPWS portfolio to drive account segmentation roadmaps and insights at the direction of CPWS Commercial leadership

• As requested by CPWS leadership, follow COE department process to set up and maintain any national tracking against KPI’s developed from analysis

• Support the CPWS VP Business Intelligence and the Supplier COE Transition Manager with any requests or data needs for brand transitions (onboarding/offboarding) to ensure consistency and streamline efforts with the SGWS standardized new brand onboard processes

• Actively participate in Supplier COE department-wide Insights projects to ensure CPWS awareness and benefits from these deliverables

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and at least three years of wine and spirits industry

• 5+ years experience preferred in a corporate business/financial analyst role

• Ability to clearly syntehsize and analyze data from a variety of internal and external data sources

• Advanced knowledge of Business Objects and/or experience in Tableau is preferred

• Advanced knowledge of other MS Office Suite and/or software applications related to job functions

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced level of analytical skills and the ability to use internal systems and syndicated data sources

• Strong understanding of both internal and external data sources and tools including Business Objects, Sales Nav, Compass, Nielsen, Numerator and Syndicated Data sets

• Familiarity with SGWS multicultural tools and datasets to include Vista, Spectra and Scarborough

• Proven track record of being able to take analyzing, developing, and presenting insights and analysis in a highly visible role

• Spirits/Wine Industry knowledge to include advanced knowledge of distribution and leading spirit categories preferred

• Strong communication skills – written, verbal, persuasion, motivation, facilitation of strong working relationships

• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions within an organization

• Experience serving as a key contributor for supplier-focused analytical projects

• Excellent interpersonal, customer service, analytical/problem solving, problem management, presentation development, presentation, and communications skills

Physical Demands

• Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor).

• May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
