Aston Carter Inventory Accountant in Miami, Florida

Exciting Inventory Accountant role in the Miami, FL area! This is a hybrid role offering 2 days remote.Job Description

As an Inventory Accountant, you will play a critical role in managing and reconciling inventory accounts, preparing monthly journal entries, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. You will assist with the monthly closing process, resolve accounting discrepancies, and support quarterly and year-end audits. This role requires effective communication with senior financial management, integrity, and good judgment in executing job duties.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly journal entries

  • Reconcile inventory accounts to the general ledger

  • Monitor inventory transactions

  • Assist with the monthly closing process

  • Resolve any accounting discrepancies

  • Partner with various departments to ensure full compliance with company policy and procedures regarding inventory

  • Assist in quarterly and year-end audits

  • Participate in special projects as required

  • Communicate effectively with senior financial management

  • Perform job duties with integrity and transparency

  • Utilize good judgment in the execution of job responsibilities

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • 2-3 years of Inventory Accounting Required

  • Familiarity with Peoplesoft/SAP or similar ERP System.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
