Description

The Grants Coordinator plays a crucial role in the research, preparation, and submission of grant proposals to secure funding for the organization. This position ensures compliance with all grant requirements, monitors progress, and collaborates with various departments to gather necessary information for grant applications and reports. The Grants Coordinator supports the organization's mission by helping to secure financial resources through government, corporate, and foundation funding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grant Research: Identify and research potential funding sources, including government agencies, private foundations, and corporate sponsors.

  • Grant Writing: Prepare, write, and submit grant proposals, applications, and supporting documentation in accordance with grant guidelines.

  • Reporting: Track and monitor the progress of awarded grants, ensuring that reporting requirements are met, and submit timely reports to funders.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with program staff, finance teams, and leadership to gather data, budgets, and project descriptions necessary for grant applications.

  • Compliance: Ensure that the organization meets all funding guidelines, including deadlines, reporting requirements, and compliance regulations.

  • Grant Administration: Maintain accurate records of all grant activities, communications, and outcomes using grant management software or tracking tools.

  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive relationships with current and prospective grant funders.

  • Communication: Liaise with grantors and key stakeholders to address inquiries and provide updates on funded projects.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in communications, nonprofit management, public administration, or a related field.

  • Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in grant writing, grant management, or a related role in fundraising or development.

  • Familiarity with grant research tools and software is preferred.

  • Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management software.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to track financials and programmatic outcomes.
