POSITION SUMMARY:
This position serves as staff for the Southeast Florida Regional Domestic Security Task Force. This position has extensive interaction with regional law enforcement, fire/ EMS, emergency management, public health, and other domestic security partners. The position oversees or assists with regional funding requests, training needs, grant management and other regional projects in support of domestic security. This position travels at least quarterly in support of statewide meetings assisting the FDLE Office of Domestic Security as well as local travel supporting regional subcommittees.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific duties include:
Independently coordinating projects within the Regional Domestic Security Task Force (RDSTF) and the Office of Domestic Security Preparedness (ODSP) to include the development of regional plans, procedures, equipment distribution, equipment inventories, grant monitoring, and planning training and RDSTF exercises;
Assisting with the coordination of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and training needs of First Responders;
Gathering information relating to equipment and training needs, checks in equipment, distributes equipment;
Maintaining and updating the RDSTF Master Roster and Major Incident Contact List;
Attend; RDSTF meetings;
Coordinating the Southeast Regional Domestic Security Task Force (SERDSTF) and Executive Board meetings;
Coordinating regional initiatives and activities with the ODSP, RDSTF coordinators and local and state grant planners and administrative;
Maintaining extensive contact with regional Emergency Management, local law enforcement agencies, fire departments, health agencies, Emergency Medical Services, schools, and a variety of local businesses; and
Providing staff support to select State Working Group committees as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Knowledge of information systems including usage as well as policies and procedures;
Ability to effectively utilize common computer software such as Microsoft Office products;
Ability to conduct thorough analytical assessments on assigned topics;
Ability to use problem solving techniques;
Ability to prioritize workload;
Ability to direct administrative personnel;
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing;
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others;
Ability to promote and maintain liaison with other local, state, and federal agencies; and
Ability to establish lines of communication between various sources of intelligence in the furtherance of its collection, collation, and dissemination.

BASE SALARY:
$52,859.88
NOTES:
Starting salary will be at the minimum of the class pay range, unless otherwise dictated by FDLE's pay policy. The elements of this selection process may include a work sample and/or interview. Future vacancies may be filled from this position advertisement.
