The Alternative Programs, Inc. Adult Court Counselor in Miami, Florida
Duties and Responsibilities:
- This is responsible social casework in providing direct and referral services to the offender and ex-offender population.
- This is on the job training where the employee is trained in specific job procedures.
- An employee in this class receives client referrals from the court for the agencys program, performs client vetting relative to acceptance into the program, does an evaluation of services needed and/or mandated by the courts that are provided to clients such as: community service placement, social and medical service referrals, vocational rehabilitation and job referrals.
- Initiates program services, prepares and thoroughly documents client case records.
- Work will also include providing referral assistance to clients and their families in addressing personal or environmental problems.
- He or she is able to work somewhat independent but when guidance is necessary, he or she receives assistance from the Adult Services Division Manager, to whom this person reports.
Requirements:
- Must meet employer dress code.
- Must have High School Diploma or GED.
- Must have driver's license Operator Class E.
- Must-have abilities for Microsoft Office.
- Employer will conduct Level 2 Background Screening.
- Driving record will be checked by employer.
