Robert Half Accounting Assistant in Miami, Florida
Description
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Assistant in Miami, Florida. The role primarily involves handling customer credit applications and maintaining accurate records in the telecom industry. As a Credit Clerk, you will be responsible for data entry of invoices and basic excel tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our accounting department.
Responsibilities:
• Process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency
• Maintain up-to-date and precise customer credit records
• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect overdue payments
• Handle data entry of invoices and ensure they are correctly filed
• Use basic Excel functions to organize and analyze data
• Work with the Accounts Receivable (AR) team to resolve customer credit inquiries
• Ensure all accounting practices adhere to company policies and standards
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the accounting department
• Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations related to credit and collections
• Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Requirements
• Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is desirable
• Familiarity with accounting software and spreadsheet programs
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
Must be able to work onsite in Doral, Florida.
