We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead with 5 to 8 years of experience in VMware and Windows administration. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our IT infrastructure. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of both remote and on-site work with no travel required. The position is a day shift role ensuring a balanced work-life schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead the administration and maintenance of VMware environments to ensure optimal performance and availability.

• Oversee the configuration deployment and management of Windows servers to support business operations.

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for VMware and Windows-related issues ensuring minimal downtime.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement IT solutions that align with business goals.

• Monitor system performance and implement necessary updates and patches to maintain security and efficiency.

• Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations procedures and troubleshooting guidelines.

• Conduct regular system audits and generate reports to identify areas for improvement.

• Implement best practices for system backups disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

• Train and mentor junior IT staff providing guidance and support for their professional development.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations related to IT infrastructure.

• Participate in project planning and execution providing technical expertise and insights.

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to recommend innovative solutions.

• Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment promoting teamwork and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive experience in VMware administration including setup configuration and maintenance.

• Must have strong expertise in Windows administration with a focus on server management and troubleshooting.

• Should possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

• Should have a solid understanding of network protocols and security best practices.

• Must be proficient in creating and maintaining technical documentation.

• Should have experience in conducting system audits and generating performance reports.

• Nice to have experience in scripting and automation to streamline IT processes.

• Should demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.

• Must be committed to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies.

• Should have a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential system issues.

• Must be detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.

• Should have experience in training and mentoring junior staff.

• Must be able to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
