Google Software Engineer, Web, Google Classroom in Mexico City, Mexico

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.

  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.

  • Experience in web development.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.

  • Experience developing accessible technologies.

In this role, you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

Google plays an important role in education around the world – with hundreds of millions of students using Google Classroom, Google Workspace, Chromebooks, YouTube, and more. In addition to powering these core products, we’re experimenting with new tools to advance the boundaries of how education leaders understand and guide their schools, staff, and students.

  • Write and test code that powers the Google Classroom web app.

  • Manage project priorities with guidance, meeting deadlines and deliverables.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners in user research, design, and product to understand educators needs, and to translate them into the right technical decisions and systems.

  • Participate in releases, might include being on call.

  • Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
