Siemens Digital Industries Software (DISW) is looking for passionate individuals who have good interest in Software Development and Implementation to join our Field Services team in Mexico to act as part of a Country Professional Services team, work productively with other Consultants, Architects, Project Managers, and other internal & external interfaces (SME’s) to ensure that the customer succeeds in their objectives.

As an Implementation Consultant (IC) within the Field Services team for PLM solutions, you will have the opportunities to learn and work with the DISW PLM Community of Practice and contribute as a key member in delivering the designed solution for the customers. Other than development tasks, you will also get to expose yourself to learn and understand the system solutions designed for customers around the world and industries best practices through the involvement in different implementation projects.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the delivery of individual project consulting and technical expertise in Siemens’s core product portfolio, for DISW projects throughout the project lifecycle (including implementation/installation, configuration, testing, deployment, production support, postproduction support, train/mentor) for the Siemens DI Software solution to be delivered successfully and provide value to the customer. Under guidance and in line with project processes and messaging, interact with the customer to support the management of customer expectations and support customer adoption.

Works on projects/assignments of basic to moderate scope. Works under self-management on routine assignment/projects and light supervision on new assignment/projects. Actively participates in Country Communities of Practice, leveraging technical and industry best practices and templates to deliver project tasks, providing experiences to support continual improvement.

  • Work as a key member within the Project Team for implementation and support projects.

  • Understand the requirement and design details of the tasks assigned.

  • Configure and develop the designed solution for DISW products.

  • Prepare UAT´s and document the test results according to defined test plan.

  • Understand customer’s business goals, objectives and needs and the general business environment.

  • Work with the Solution or Product Architect to support Architecture tasks.

  • Install and undertake configuration tasks using tool kits and using Best Practices, industry standards and Siemens PLM Software approved solution techniques and Methodologies.

  • Support the data migration activities for legacy data and systems.

  • Author/contribute to the documentation of standards, processes, and policies related to deployment of technical solutions.

  • Keep up to date with Best Practices and methods within own area of specialism and apply these in everyday role.

Requirements

As a Siemens Implementation Consultant, you are a technical resource implementing solutions while building strong relationships with project teams and customers helping them realize their industry vision. This position requires excellent skills in interpersonal communications, process improvement, as well as configuration of software.

  • BS degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.

  • Able to work independently, self-motivated, and good team player.

  • 3+ years of practical experience in software development, implementation, testing, go-live and support.

  • Exposure to PLM (Teamcenter) domain, Solution Install and Development processes would be an added advantage.

  • Proficiency in following programming languages would be an advantage:

  • C#, ASP.NET Framework, Visual Studio.

  • HTML 5, CSS, PHP, Bootstrap.

  • JSON, JQuery, XML.

  • Angular JS, Node JS.

  • JavaScript, Java, J2EE, React.

  • PL-SQL / T-SQL, Oracle (DBA).

  • Windows Server, Unix/Linux, Virtualization.

Additional and desirable skills and knowledge

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Root Cause Analysis and Critical Thinking.

  • Strong verbal/written communication skill and teamwork.

  • Working experience in any of the following manufacturing industries and domains: Automotive, Machinery, Heavy Equipment, Aerospace, Marine. Process, Food & Beverage, Fashion, Retail and Apparel.

  • Previous experience with implementing Enterprise systems

  • Prior working experience in engineering and manufacturing industries is an added advantage.

This position will be preferable based in Mexico City, Mexico.
