Amazon Finance Manager, Mexico Finance Team in Mexico City, Mexico

Description

Amazon Mexico is recruiting for a Finance Manager to join its fast growing Retail business. Working within the Retail team, you will lead the financial reporting and strategy of our Everyday Essentials business and Cost to Serve initiatives. You will partner closely with the Retail team, Finance and other business groups, to support and monitor the consumer business’ strategic, financial and operational plans.

This will be a highly visible and varied role, in which the job holder will have the ability to bring new ideas to the business, interact with senior leaders and help influence the direction and decision making of the Retail business.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead support for Mexico Everyday Essentials and Cost to Serve initiatives, including financial analysis and reporting.

  • Coordinating with central FP&A and local teams to support planning and closing processes.

  • Analyzing and explaining current and historic performance, providing effective commercial business challenge to ensure key operational, commercial and financial targets are achieved or beaten.

  • Delivering consistent accuracy in predicting financial performance.

  • Finance controllership of the Everyday Essentials business and Cost to Serve initiatives you will be supporting, and continuous development of efficient reporting tools to support decision-making.

  • Providing analytical support such as the evaluation of business proposals, and driving ad-hoc cross-functional projects.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

  • 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience

  • 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

  • Experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel

  • Bachelor´s Degree or certificate of cumpletion of studies requires

  • At least 8 years in financial background

  • Fluent in English and Spanish

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

  • MBA
