The Role

Based in our new Regional Capability Center in Mexico City, the Director, Operations Migration is a key contributor to support the delivery of an ambitious and complex operating model program. The transformation program includes migrating several global capabilities to new global and regional capability centers.

The Director, Operations Migration (Mexico) is in the in-country lead for the program reporting to the SVP T&O Transformation. The Director leads program efforts to ensure Technology & Operations (T&O) teams plus business areas are ready for program change moments. The individual will support all program activities including and not limited to hiring, onboarding and knowledge transfer. On behalf of T&O they will develop strategic recruitment plans in partnership with local and functional People & Culture Partners and Talent Acquisition to ensure readiness efforts meet program timelines.

The postholder will work closely with the T&O Leadership teams, Global Business Services, Talent Acquisition, People & Culture and Global Real Estate to ensure T&O teams are prepared to transition services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead local resource demand planning activity across T&O functions. Ensures it is aligned with other Warner Bros. Discovery groups in Mexico City

  • As the T&O Point of Contact is responsible for all Mexico City location activities. Acts as bridge between T&O global teams and Talent Acquisition

  • Partners with Talent Acquisition to create a successful Mexico City hiring strategy including building outreach programs to ensure a successful candidate pipeline

  • Monitors the interconnected work stemming from global people impacts and ensure plans are aligned and adapted for Mexico City transitions

  • Acts as de-facto T&O site lead until local T&O leadership is in place; ensure T&O workplace needs are met. Champions developing employee engagement, team culture and welfare programs for the Mexico City Capability Center

  • Working with other site leadership, runs a comprehensive onboarding process for T&O new hires

  • Participates in engagement programs between T&O Global Teams and the Global and Regional Capability Centers

  • Work closely with the People & Culture and Change Management teams for communications and training support for transitional readiness

  • Partner with GBS Service Transition to ensure knowledge transfer/operational readiness assessments and checklists are implemented and embedded. Acts as lead POC with GBS Service Transition for Mexico City

  • Support the development of cross-functional processes. Analyze organizational processes and workflows between Mexico City and other T&O global teams and identify gaps with a continuous improvement lens

Requirements

  • Bachelor's level Degree OR equivalent combination of operations management experience in global organizations

  • 15+ years' experience in building enterprise scale operations centers in the technology environment

  • 15+ years’ experience and knowledge of project and change management principles, methodologies, and tools

  • Experience of working inside major people and process transformation programs

  • A solid understanding of how people go through change and the change process

  • Experience working in IT and/or Broadcast environments with project managers and technical staff preferred

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Strong creative and presentation skills
